People
Prior to founding Selen Law, the predecessor of Selen Partners, Kristiina Leppänen (Senior Partner) worked 16 years as general counsel in three different energy companies. She also worked as an attorney in private practise for nearly 10 years.
She has considerable amount of expertise in complex contracting, company law and M&A. She has negotiated over 300 power plant and industry contracts and participated in appr. 150 different kinds of energy, infrastructure, construction and mining projects in Finland and abroad.
Mikael Calonius (Partner, elect) joins Selen Partners in spring 2026 after having worked as chief legal officer in a Nordic energy and utility company. He has previous background as an attorney and inhouse counsel for energy and industrial companies.
Mikael has throughout his career handled dozens of successfully business acquisitions and other corporate transactions, over 30 industrial energy or utility outsourcing arrangements, and over 100 turnkey contracts, as well as several smaller project and equipment purchases.
